This hotel has real character, exposed beams in our rooms etc. It's quite a 'boutique-type' hotel, small intimate breakfast room etc. We were on the top floor and there was nobody else up there at all so we had it all to ourselves! Free fast internet near reception. Lovely breakfast.
Warm room and no option to open window because of noise from small side street. No TV channel in English despite the TV guide saying otherwise. We had 2 rooms and 1 of them had no hot water so a change was done. Appreciated the bottle of wine we received for our problems. Staff were great but hard to find at times, unmanned front desk etc.
The location was excellent and the we could not ask for a more comfortable room. We were catching the train and the location was very convenient
We like to visit Regensburg. Everytime we try to find good place in old city. Location is excelent: small restaurants, boutiques... Fine.
Very nice hotel. Room and bathroom nice size for europe and very convenient location for historic site seeing, shopping, beer gardens and eating.
It was warm when we stayed so needed to keep the window open and it was very noisy late into the night. Sound seems to carry very far on these small streets. a fan in the room would have been nice so we could have closed the windows.
Regensburg is a quaint Bavarian altstadt with more history than one can absorb in only a day or two. My family visited our daughter who was working there over the summer and found the Altstadthotel very comfortable and well-situated in the altstadt just a few blocks away from her apartment, cathedrals and palaces nearby along with fine shops, restaurants, and brauerei.
Excellent location in a fabulous city. Although we arrived very late at night the staff had stayed available ready to let us in. Very good staff and much appreciated. Good value for money.
Room was quite hot, although there had just been a heat wave. Because of the 'street-side' location it was quite noisy if we left the window open. Air Con would be good, but this is a small point really.
Hotel was situated in the typical European town. Lot's of shopping and friendly people. The staff was very helpful and courteous. The beds were stiff (but that's just my opinion) and depending on the room location there is an echo from outside due to the narrow roads and the closeness of the buildings. I would definitely return.
Good location. I requested a room with a bathtub, it was very clean and comfortable.
Great base for the surrounding districts as well as for the town. Friendly and helpful staff.
The entry area was warm and inviting, even though there was no lobby with sitting area. The breakfast room was also very cosy. The location on the pedestrian zone was great for exploring Regensburg on foot. The wifi internet connection was excellent.
We would have liked a larger bed in our double room and a real lobby that we could sit in with our friends to visit together. Our shower was extrememly small but our room itself was quite large.
